I lost my job a year ago this month and I haven't worked since. I need money super desperately for when I start uni this September as student finance won't cover my housing costs. I've been sending off 7-10 applications a day since August (furloughed for a few months) and I've only had 2 interviews and no job offers. I can't seem to get work anywhere. I had a horrible call with Universal Credit the other day as they strangled me for not getting a job yet but what else can I do? I try so hard applying and looking for jobs and I'm not even getting the jobs they refer to me. I change my CV every now and then in case thats the problem and I get help from the nation careers service each time but it's not getting anywhere. I have a few years experience in many different roles and a good set of grades from a variety of different education. Am I the only person trying this hard and getting nowhere?

Don't forget that you are allowed to show your enthusiasm. You should be excited! Also, don't forget to show your appreciation to the interviewer for selecting you. Record all information they provide you including start dates, department locations, dress codes, etc. as this is important information you will need to start your new position. It's also an appropriate time to discuss contract details, salary and the like, or to set up a time when these topics can be discussed. Make sure that upon starting a new work assignment, there will be no surprises or anything left up in the air. Need additional help? Reach out to Candace to learn more!

Financials and Summary The iOS market is completely over-saturated. There are a lot of good games on there and a lot of bad ones too, so I knew going into this project that it would be highly unlikely to make any money from it. I kept my spending on development down to an absolute minimum as realistically it will be tough to get that cost back. I did buy a few assets on the Unity Asset store (the nice GUI summary screen and the pig), but the rest were either created by me, or free assets (and I did all the relevant checks on the licensing! ) I think in total I spent under $30 on game assets and then the $100 for the Apple developer license and if I am honest, I doubt I will come close to breaking even. I also spent around 110 hours creating the game. I am not including the ~20 hours of trying to get the issues with the Mac working as that was more educational time. I also "wasted" a lot of time trying to get my head around the fairly complex process of getting the game set up correctly on the App Store Connect site (I found it very un-intuitive, but I think I've pretty much got it under control for now).
