I am seriously over the moon right now! This is my DREAM JOB and I can't believe I scored it! I followed the advice y'all gave me after my last interview and had a "fake it till you make it" approach to all interactions with this employer. I made dog puns in my first e-mail, joked a bit on the phone, and made the whole process fun for myself (which, it turns out, made it fun for everyone else too! ). My anxiety is going to be much, much lower now knowing 1) that I actually have a full time job, 2) that I'll be doing what I love, and 3) It's less than 15 minutes from my new home. What will I be doing, you ask? Working with DOGS! I love, Love, LOVE dogs and have worked professionally with them for a couple of years previously. I'll mostly be playing with them in small groups, although there will be cleaning and bathing as required (I love giving them baths! ). I feel the complete opposite of what I felt going into that second interview at last week. In every way. I'm confident, too... That's rare for me.

I always stress myself out and during the interview I was like I don't know if this job is for me I didn't say that of course but in my head I did I was almost like you this is too much like I can't take it. Everyone is so excited for me coworkers my family my friends and I want to feel that excitement to but my excitement is drowned out by my stress I feel like I'm gonna make a mistake or be fired or not be good at it. Even though they told me that I'll shadow somebody and they'll train me and that it'll be fine because I'll always have somebody I can call. But then they also said that you need to be aware of when to call somebody and when you can solve it yourself and I was like thinking what if I accidentally call somebody when it's something that I could've sold myself and then they get mad. My mind right now is just stressed when I should be excited. And I don't even have the job yet which is fucking hilarious because I could get turned down tomorrow for all I know and I stressed anyway.

I also have a university degree in my country. Unfortunately I only have 7 months of relative experience working in my dream career before I was laid off by my previous company because they closed down due to corona.

I come from a developing country, so even if these offers are considered poor or poverty level, these offers are way better than what I can get in my country. MY DECISION: I think I would take the plunge of looking for another job. I would give myself two more months before I take an English teaching job. What made me decide on this is that some of you mentioned that there is a salary threshold in renewing my visa. Taking this current offer would lower my chances of getting my visa renewed. I have an Engineering visa until 2023. I really didn't know about that, because my salary in my previous company was way higher than my current offers. I know some of you will think of me as stupid or crazy, but I don't want to give up on my dreams or even opportunities if I am still given the ability to take them. Again thank you for all advice. One is a contract employee for my dream job and one is a fulltime English teaching job.

So I work for a major corporation and I applied for another position inside of it more on the IT field instead of just retail which is what I do now. Overall the interview went fine I think I did quite well. It's 21/hr, full time, vacation time, health/dental/vision. It has the potential to go up to around 30 an hour. I get a company car and they give me $10 a day for lunch. Those are all the pros and I should be very excited and I am not that I have the job right now but if I get it. But I'm also really really nervous and I always do this to myself last night the day before the interview I got so sick to my stomach with stress that I almost puked in the bathroom and I had nightmares the whole night. And during the interview I got somewhat nervous because of all the stuff they were saying all the responsibility that the job entails the hours are 6 PM to 6 AM sometimes you work 9 PM to three or you could end up working daytime shifts as well and there's 24 stores that I have to be aware of and potentially go there and wire new hardware and get along with other tradesmen like electricians and carpenters.
